Internship Opportunities

Youth Intern

CFLS Youth Interns will assist our Youth Department in the preparation, coordination and staffing of our Summer Day Camp. The Summer Camp runs for seven weeks and facilitates student participation in educational and enjoyable activities each day, including trips to the park, pool, and museums.  This internship is an excellent opportunity to work directly with inner city youth living in Washington D.C. and to make a difference within the community.  

 

Supportive Services Intern

CFLS Supportive Services Intern will assist the Case Managers in providing supportive and emergency services to clients.  The Intern will assist with data entry, file maintenance, as well as small independent projects.  This internship is an excellent opportunity to work in direct services and help to serve those who are in need.

 Accounting Intern

CFLS Accounting Intern will assist the Director of Finance. Primary tasks include billing, checking and filing.  This is an excellent opportunity for accounting or business students to help the community while gaining experience within a finance department.  Opportunities are available Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm.  

Development Intern

CFLS Development Intern will assist in coordinating activities that will generate resources for the agency. The person will help out with data entry, research, grant writing, as well as coordinating special events.  This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience working in a fast-paced community agency while serving those in need.
