Career Paths

This comprehensive and challenging program for high school students exposes them to the many possibilities that exist for their futures. The four elements that make up the program are College Connections, Career Exploration, Career Supports and Job Placement.

College Connections introduces the students to different post-secondary options, information on schools, resources detailing available scholarships and financial aid, along with help on applications and determining eligibility. Students also get help preparing for entrance exams and other preparatory tests.

Through Career Exploration, students not planning to obtain post-secondary education can get information on workforce options, assistance understanding certification and licensure requirements, help preparing for interests/skills assessment tests and obtaining internships.

Career Supports helps students with resume writing, job search and interview skills. They also have access to job counseling, coaching and mentoring.

The culmination of the Career Paths' step-by-step approach is the Job Placement program. Participants get help finding apprenticeships, internships, volunteer and long-term employment.
