Employment Services

Employment with sustainable wages is vital to supporting oneself and one's family. Without livable wages, paying for housing, utilities, food, and basic medical care can be next to impossible. To help strengthen individuals, families, and our community as a whole, CFLS has responded to the needs of those who are unskilled, unemployed or underemployed.

Community Family Life Services provides employment counseling to help the unemployed and underemployed find and keep good jobs.  Services offered are free to clients.  We offer an Employment Resource Center where clients may receive support throughout the job search process.  The Resource Center offers computers that have internet access for online job searching and email, and also offers clients an place where they can receive phone calls from prospective employers. 

How we've helped...

• We have successfully placed over 2,000 clients in jobs since 1992. 
• We placed 132 individuals in jobs during fiscal year 2003-2004.
• During fiscal year 2003-2004, 29 individuals graduated from our job training programs, of whom 85% went on to find jobs.
