Clients living with HIV/AIDS face considerable obstacles, especially declining health which can keep them from holding down a job or parent their children effectively. Finding safe, affordable housing or financial assistance to pay for medications can be difficult.
CFLS provides supportive housing services to individuals and heads of household diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. With the support of their case manager and counselor, they can address the unique day-to-day frustrations and problems they face.
All clients in CFLS housing can participate in workshops that discuss the prevention of HIV/AIDS, risky behaviors that lead to infection, the importance of testing, and other related topics. Clients who already have HIV/AIDS can learn about intimacy and safe sex, and how to maintain good health and talk about HIV/AIDS with loved ones.
