Emergency Services

6000 Units of Service Annually
Emergency Community Services Program is often the first CFLS department that a new client encounters following intake. The program provides the information for emergency food and clothing assistance; regularly delivered food and telephone buddies to homebound elderly citizens. These services help over 1,000 clients avert homelessness before it occurs each year, and help them get back on track to self-sufficiency before they fall further into the poverty spiral.

Clothing

Clothing is distributed to women on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm, to men on Fridays, 10am to 1pm. Children's clothing is distributed at either time.

Homeless Breakfast Series

Monthly hot breakfasts are sponsored by CFLS on the first or second Saturday of each month to serve the homeless and low-income population.

Holiday Programs

CFLS sponsors Adopt-a-Family and Give-a-Gift for clients who live in our housing units and a second program, Give-a-Gift, for the general public who qualify for assistance through TANF, SSI, or food stamps.

Turkey and Easter Baskets: Through partnerships of local companies and churches we are able to supply each CFLS family with a Thanksgiving meal and each child a fun holiday Easter basket.
