Rent Mortgage and Utility Assistance

Our emergency rental and utility assistance makes it possible for families and individuals facing homelessness, sudden health problem or other crises to keep their homes. In addition, we can help provide the first month's rent to a family moving out of a shelteror transitional housing.

Funds are limited and are to prevent an impending crisis such as foreclosure, eviction, or utility shut-off.  Clients in need of such assistance must provide written proof of the emergency and why it is occuring. Frequently, we find that medical emergencies, loss of government aid, or sudden unemployment are among the reasons for assistance. Because the assistance is meant to be short-term, clients must demonstrate their ability to make all future rent, mortgage, or utility payments. If they are unable to do so, further intervention may be required.
