Position Title: Therapist

 

A. Summary Statement

Under the direction of the Director of Reentry & Victim Services, the therapist consultant will develop a schedule to serve clients in our domestic violence and reentry programs. The consultant will be responsible for communicating with case managers, accepting referrals, conducting mental health assessments, booking appointments, and following up with clients.

B. Required Qualifications

  • Clinical or Counseling Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Must be licensed to practice in the District of Columbia

  • Understanding of trauma informed practices and the impact of incarceration on women.

 

C. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accept referrals from case managers and communicate with the team to follow up about missed

  • appointments and successful connections.

  • Assist in strategizing the expansion of the program.

  • Comply with confidentiality guidelines and trauma-informed practices and ensure all necessary

  • paperwork is on file.

  • Schedule appointments with clients and follow up. Hold therapy sessions virtually.

  • Conduct mental health assessments; refer out where necessary.

  • Create invoices for payment and submit to program director.

Position Title: Administrative Assistant

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent extensive work experience required

  • 5+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting Senior Level Executives

  • Assist Human Resources with new hire onboarding paperwork

  • Grant writing skills strongly desired

  • Superior organizational skills a must

  • Prepare for and schedule grant reporting dates on calendar

  • Greet funders, community partners, clients for the Executive Director

  • Bookkeeping, Invoicing and Payment skills strongly desired

  • Maintain up-to-date digital and hard copy filing systems

  • Provide administrative support to Finance and Human Resources

  • Extensive knowledge of word processing programs and database spreadsheets

  • Ability to create organized filing system

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven ability to execute duties independently in a fast paced environment

  • Superior ability to prioritize efficiently and handle multiple tasks

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite and Office Outlook 365

  • Manage confidential matters with discretion and professionalism

  • Additional senior level administrative responsibilities as assigned

  • Ability to work in person and accommodate flexible work schedule

Position Title: Program Manager, Reentry Employment

 

A. Summary Statement

Under the direction of the Director of Supportive Services, the Program Manager will demonstrate to employers the effectiveness and profitability of employing unemployed, underemployed, and justice affected individuals, by identifying jobs that workers can perform in, aligned with identified career pathways and labor market data. The expected outcomes are consistent with increasing employability skills and employment placement via improved workplace preparedness, attainment of industry-recognized credentials for in-demand occupations in Washington D.C., as well as reduced recidivism through mentorship and navigational case management.

B. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach, recruitment, and intake processes consistent with the program goals and objectives.

  • Administer assessments and utilize results to inform the development of the participants’ career plan, which will include employability skills, interests, and identified career pathways.

  • Deliver employability skills training and provide career guidance and mentorship to participants as needed.

  • Initiates and maintains ongoing personal contact with a variety of business and industry representatives as well as job placement/training agencies to promote programs for participant placement.

  • Instruct in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation and job retention.

  • Monitor participant performance on the job and counsel participants if job performance is not satisfactory.

  • Accurately track, input data, and maintain comprehensive case files (physical and electronic) for participants.

  • Other duties as assigned.
