Early Intervention Services
The goal of the CFLS Early Intervention Services (EIS) initiative is to target women who are in prison or jail or have been involved in the criminal justice system though our continuum of women's reentry programming and offer Education, Testing, Linking to wellness and health care and to keep them engaged to ensure adherence to treatment using a four-pronged strategy.
Through its women's reentry continuum of care programs and services, CFLS will identify, assess and address the needs of women who engage in behaviors that place them at risk for spreading or contracting HIV ("Find em").
CFLS will engage these women in various activities designed to reduce harm, build supports, educate, connect, provide testing and counseling using OraQuick, and create am environment of services and supports ("Test em").
Through its events in the jails and prisons, CFLS will provide information about Pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP), to lower the client's chances of getting infected ("Teach em").
CFLS will also link clients to its current services and refer them to our partners for additional supports ("Link em").
To ensure consistent access, CFLS Case Managers will complete intakes in their facilities weekly thus allowing CFLS access to a full range of medical services on behalf of the client ("Keep em").
