CFLS Speakers Bureau Advisory Committee
The CFLS Speakers Bureau Advisory Committee is distinct from the governing Board of Directors of CFLS. This committee is charged with overseeing the CFLS Speakers Bureau and serves as ambassadors for the program. The committee is made up of experts who specialize in re-entry issues, homelessness, addiction, and other trauma that the members of the Speakers Bureau address. The advisory board is also made up of members of the Speakers Bureau who take an active role in guiding the work of the Bureau.

Advisory Committee Chair: Nancy Ware
Nancy Ware is a nonresident fellow in the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She has more than three decades of experience in the management and administration of juvenile and adult criminal justice programs on the local, state, and national levels. Before assuming leadership of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia, Ware guided the agency’s compliance with the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010, focusing on strategic planning and performance measurement.
Dr. Avon Hart-Johnson, president and co-founder of DC Project Connect (DCPC), a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization that provides crisis support, advocacy, and psychoeducational services for families affected by incarceration.
Evette Banfield, vice president of economic development policy and wealth building strategies at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED)
Evan Davies, principal at ConnActions, LLC, a consulting company that helps for- and non-profit professionals build, grow, and nurture their professional relationships
Kari Galloway, Executive Director of Friends of Guest House, an organization that serves the needs of women’s reentry in Virginia
Stephanie McGency, PhD, Director of the Convergence Reentry Ready Project
