CFLS Speakers Bureau Coaches
Participants in the CFLS Speakers Bureau will enhance their public speaking skills with coaching support to anchor their personal and professional development. The International Coaching Federation (ICF 2011) defines coaching as "an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, business or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life. In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. The interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.”
CFLS has taken great care to handpick coaches who will be supporting the leaders in this program, and each coach is experienced working with diverse communities of people. The coaching component of the CFLS Speakers Bureau program is designed to help boost participants’ confidence in their newly-acquired public speaking skillset and develop individual strategies for continued success once the training is completed.
current, ongoing and upcoming events
Throughout the year, CFLS hosts a number of special events aimed at raising funds and educating the community about the causes and consequences of homelessness and the unique plights faced by women reintegrating back into society after a period of incarceration.
